HirePowerLogoIn today’s society, we live with some of the lowest unemployment rates our country has seen in a long time. And yet businesses around the nation are continuing to make great strides in growth, which leads to more hiring. Inc. magazine, a publication focused on entrepreneurs and growing businesses, introduced the first-ever Hire Power Awards.

Inc. is known for the 500|5000 list, a comprehensive roster of the fastest growing privately-owned companies in the country. This year, election debates and discussion pushed job creation to the front of everyone’s mind, spurring Inc. to put together another national list, this time acknowledging job creators.

“It seemed like kind of a no-brainer to make an award for one of the other ways that entrepreneurs contribute to society, which is to create jobs,” said Eric Schurenberg, editor-in-chief of Inc.

Honorees were chosen from all business sectors and industries, including both for-profit and non-profit. The Hire Power Awards, sponsored by Bank of America, were given to companies having created the highest percentage of jobs over the past three years. MyBinding.com, a two-year Inc 5000 winner, was one of only four businesses selected in the state of Oregon.

“We are honored to be included in the first-ever Hire Power Awards,” said Jeff McRitchie, vice president of marketing for MyBinding.com. “Keeping a full staff of local professionals is one way we can give back to our community.”

The Hire Power Awards were given to companies in every industry and just about every state. MyBinding joins other business ventures such as GoDaddy, Chobani, and Scentsy. Over the past three years, MyBinding has increased their staff by over 50% as they grew to fit their business needs. They hire local professionals and promote in-house in order to maintain a productive and cohesive working environment. With their successful track record and low turnover rate, MyBinding is looking to continue to grow and provide more jobs in their community in the coming year.

“As our business increases, our staff grows to accommodate that business with the same efficiency our customers have come to expect,” said McRitchie. “We look forward to flourishing even more in 2013.”
