Have you ever needed to bind legal-sized documents and wondered how to go about it? If so, you will be glad to know that there are several ways you can do so and you can probably use the machine you already have. Here are three ways you can bind legal-sized documents:
- If you have a comb binding machine, you may be able to use it for your legal-sized documents. Your machine will need to have disengageable dies and an open throat, however. (These features will help you produce the right hole pattern.) And you will need to use combs that are 14” long unless you are binding on the 11” side of the paper.
- Does your document require a secure binding? If so, warm up your VeloBind machine because you can use 14” strips to bind your document. Be sure to thoroughly proofread your work before binding since it will be difficult to edit later on.
- Finally, if you don’t want to use a binding machine, you can use screw posts. Just punch holes in your document and insert the screw posts into the holes. Secure the posts with a flat-head screwdriver to finish things off. If you need to edit your document after binding, just loosen the screws to add and remove pages.
Binding your legal-sized documents isn’t difficult. You simply need to make sure that your machine can handle the task and that you have the right supplies. Good luck and happy binding!
